Coursework 1: Game Theory
This is an individual project and each student should write a report about 4000 words plus Figures and Tables on the OR technique of Game Theory. Game Theory will not be covered in the class lectures. Your approach here should be to explore the history and underlying theory of Game Theory and present a selection of samples. You should do a literature survey and list any useful references in your report. This project accounts for 20% of the final Assessment of the course.
Coursework 2: Application of OR in Evacuation Planning
This is an individual project. Write an essay on the application of OR in Evacuation Planning. The length of the essay should be about 4000 words plus figures and tables. This project should apply any OR techniques to solve a specific evacuation planning problem. Provide a literature review and list any useful references in the essay. You may discuss any difficulties in the collection of the data, in setting the objective, in building the mathematical model, or in making the assumptions. The project accounts for 20% of the final Assessment of the course.
1. Submit the soft copies of the TWO reports (two pdf documents) to Moodle by 5 pm November 30, 2025.
2. Ensure that the report files are not corrupted and can be opened.
3. Give your name and student ID in the reports.
4. Late submission will be discounted by 10% on a daily basis.
