Question 2: Project Milestone
Project Objective
Your overall goal for the project is to design a complete program that follows the How to Design Analysis Programs recipe. We recommend that you start work on this after you have done the pre-reading for module 7.
By the milestone deadline, you must have completed Steps 1a, 1b, 1c, 2a, and 2b from the How to Design Analysis Programs recipe. This means that you will have completed the planning steps (1a, 1b, 1c), designed the data definitions that you require, and designed the read function. You do not design main and analyze for the milestone. You will finish your program (main function and Step 2c - analysis) before the final submission.
Requirements for this submission:
● You cannot alter your dataset in any way.
● You must submit your program and the .csv files you created to test your read function plus your primary information source (csv file).
● You must write your planning steps (1a, 1b, 1c) in Markdown cells at the top of the project file.
● If you have changed your project idea from what was stated in the project proposal, you must clearly indicate this in step 1b.
● You must be working towards fulfilling the criteria in the project description that (1) your project must produce a graph or chart that helps to answer some question about your information of interest to you, and (2) your analysis must perform. some substantial computation that goes beyond filtering the existing information, reading it as data (or reading and then filtering), and plotting two columns from the resulting filtered data. (You'll learn how to create the visualizations in Module 8. You can create a line chart, histogram, bar chart, scatterplot, or pie chart.)
● In step 2a, you must explicitly document which information in the file you chose to represent and why that information is crucial to what you believe you'll analyze in step 2c
● The project milestone and final submission are a way for you to demonstrate your understanding of the concepts from the course. We expect that you use concepts from the course when completing the project.
