Module Learning Outcomes:
This assignment is designed to assess the following module learning outcomes. Your submission will be marked using the Grading Criteria given in the section below.
● Critically evaluate a body of specialist literature
● Collect systematically, analyse, and interpret their own research data
● Discuss their research findings in the context of existing literature
● Communicate their research clearly and concisely
● Effectively manage their time to a series of deadlines
Assignment:
Prepare a written report of your research project.
Your research report will normally have the following structure:
- Introduction
- Theory and literature review
- Methods
- Findings
- Discussion
- Conclusion
- References
-Appendices (including Generative AI Use Statement)
You may tweak this structure as appropriate. For example, some people prefer to have separate sections for theory and for literature review, or to combine discussion and conclusion into one section.
The maximum word count (6000 words) excludes the reference list and appendices.
A 5-mark penalty will be applied if the maximum word count is exceeded by more than 10 percent.
Your report should be fully referenced, using the Harvard Referencing Style. The university provides detailed guidance on the use of Harvard Referencing Style. here: https://www.citethemrightonline.com/category-list?docid=CTRHarvard. You will need to log in with your University of Birmingham credentials to access the guide.
